Parish "St. Marien" Schmelz-Außen invites

On 2 and 3 July 2022 it will be that time again: we will celebrate our traditional parish festival "Around the Church Tower". We invite all people to celebrate with us in joyful fellowship, to maintain acquaintances or to make new ones. With a varied programme on both days, everyone, young and old, will find something to entertain them. This is an important date for families to experience together.

The festival opens on Saturday at 19:00 with a pre-evening mass in Schattertriesch with music by the "St. Marien" church choir. On Saturday evening, the JuGoDi and the altar servers will organise the "Jesus Christ's Paradise Party" in the parish hall from 8:00 pm. Especially the confirmands of the years 2020 and 2021 as well as this year's confirmands are cordially invited.

On Sunday, 03.07.2019, we will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of the Word of God, with music by the Schmelz Music Association. Depending on the weather, outside on the lawn behind the church. Following the service, the Musikverein Schmelz will entertain with a morning pint concert from about 11:00 am. We also invite you to join us for lunch: pea stew with sausage and sauerkraut, grilled sausage and curry sausage will be on offer; for dessert and in the afternoon there will be homemade cakes as well as fair trade coffee. Everyone can get cool drinks at a beer stand. There will also be a bouncy castle to romp around in and there will be face painting and handicrafts to pass the time with the team from the Kinderhaus St. Josef Schmelz-Außen. At 3:00 p.m., the Junge Kantorei will perform a musical play and at 3:30 p.m., the "Line Dance Group" of the Kneippverein Schmelz will provide entertainment. At 4:00 p.m., the Family Church invites you to a short, child-friendly service under the cherry tree.
